William Montes-Liendo Joins Global Surgery Expedition in Belize

Belmopan, Belize – Today, William Montes-Liendo from Heritage Film Project arrived in Belmopan, the capital of Belize, to join the team of the Global Surgery Expedition led by Dr. David Rapp of the University of Virginia. Supported by the Documentary Film Fund, William brings solid experience to the project, having worked on recent trips to the southern archipelago of Okinawa for the film "Joy Brown" and serving as second unit cinematographer for the film "The Italian Factor" in Massa-Carrara.

William, a full-time student at the New York Film Academy, is committed to impactful documentary filmmaking. His participation in the Global Surgery Expedition underscores this commitment. He will be celebrating his 20th birthday on June 3 in the operating room, surrounded by the extraordinary and dedicated group of doctors from the Global Surgery Expedition team and their patients.
